Welcome to the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Science (AES). Established in 2023, AES is dedicated to providing a comprehensive education in agriculture and environmental sciences. Our department offers a variety of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) courses indesigned to meet diverse competences needs. The courses include, Diploma in General Agriculture, Diploma in Entreprenural agriculture, Diploma in Food processing Technology, Diploma in Environmental Science and Technology and Certificate in General Agriculture. The Competency-based education and training (CBET) are General agriculture practioner level 5 and 6, Envoronemtal science level 6, Food technology level 5 and 6 Agricultural extension level 6 and Horticulture Level 6.

Tailor-made short courses are also available, covering essential aspects such as sustainable agriculture value chain, horticulture, agribusiness, food processing, and environmental sciences. Practical learning is a key focus at AES. Our students gain valuable hands-on experience at the vibrant college farm. This immersive environment allows them to apply their knowledge in livestock and crop production, as well as agricultural value addition.

In collaboration with international partners, AES has developed unique courses. The Netherlands AERES has contributed to the General Agriculture Practitioner Level 5 and 6 courses. Additionally, Canadian partners Lakeland College and the College of the Rockies have played a significant role in the development of Livestock Feed Formulation and Production courses at levels 4, 5, and 6. We are currently in the process of introducing diploma and certificate programs in Animal Health and Production, expanding our offerings to meet the evolving needs of the agricultural industry.
